Per Diem Mammography Tech - St. Mary's Breast Center

About the role

This Per Diem Mammography Tech position covers multiple departments within Medical Imaging at St. Peter's Health Partners.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography, breast localization and stereotactic diagnostic procedures under the direction of the Breast Center Director in accordance with department ACR and MQSA guidelines.
• Obtain, review, and record patient history forms, obtaining complete clinical history pertinent to the procedure.
• Instruct patients as to the nature of the exam being performed, explain procedure to baseline patients, and review procedure with others.
• Demonstrate accurate positioning according to department and ACR guidelines.
• Assure that films meet department quality control standards regarding patient ID labeling, positioning, technique and overall exam quality.
• Accurately complete all required documentation related to patient care, imaging exams and RIS procedures.

Requirements

• AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent hospital based certificate program)
• Current ARRT registration and NYS license required
• RRT, Mammography registry preferred

Pay

Range: $34.70 – $48.60 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
