Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with day-to-day office operations and patient care.
• Provide excellent care to all patients and demonstrate courtesy during patient interactions.
• Ensure that pre-visit planning is completed and help identify gaps in care.
• Accept and manage patient assignments and assist in patient examinations.
• Administer specified immunizations and medications as ordered by the provider.
• Perform blood draws on adult and/or pediatric patients as needed
• Observe patients and promptly report adverse reactions to medication or treatment.
• Document all services performed accurately for billing purposes.
• Schedule tests or treatments at other facilities and forward medical information as needed.
• Participate in team huddles and actively share knowledge and ideas.
• Communicate frequently with providers about patients' physical and mental conditions.
• Perform routine laboratory test procedures following established guidelines.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED; One-year LPN certificate from an accredited college or technical school.
• Licenses: NYS LPN license.
• Experience: Experience working with both adult and pediatric patients.

Pay

$40 per hour
