Job Description
- Clearly and accurately documents pertinent information in the patient's medical record.
- Consistently demonstrates effective documentation practices and develops strategies to ensure complete documentation of patient care.
- Completes timely and ongoing patient assessments and responses to treatments, serving as a key participant on the treatment team.
- Works closely with APRNs and Doctors to ensure appropriate and prescribed treatment plans are followed.
- Oversee triage responsibilities when scheduled.
- Delivers teaching to patients on a variety of different subject matters and medication procedures.
- Administers chemotherapy administration as well as immunotherapy, intravenous gamma globulin, iron infusions, and growth factor support.
Requirements
- Current RN license through the state of CT.
- Previous experience accessing ports and placing IV lines.
- Previous experience in Oncology and working with an oncology EMR preferred.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
