Per Diem General Surgery Physician - $1,950 daily rate for weekend on-call coverage
Position Overview
The Per Diem General Surgeon will provide 24-hour weekend call coverage, supporting inpatient and emergency surgical needs. Call volume is low, allowing for focused, high-quality care. Housing accommodations are provided during on-call periods for physician convenience and comfort.
Essential Functions
- Provide care in inpatient and emergency settings, including unrestricted on-call responsibilities
- Perform general surgical procedures as clinically appropriate
- Accurately and timely document all services
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Promote patient satisfaction through compassionate and professional care
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless care
- Uphold all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards
