Per diem Driver Courier

About the Role

Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Operation Manager within established Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures, drives assigned vehicle for scheduled and unscheduled pickups and deliveries of various medical and non-medical supplies, equipment, and materials. Also performs various clerical and materials handling duties.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned vehicle for scheduled and unscheduled pickups and deliveries of medical and non-medical supplies, equipment, and materials.
• Perform clerical and materials handling duties.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Communicate effectively with individuals of all age levels served within the scope of the position.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Massachusetts or Rhode Island driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Good driving skills and clerical accuracy.
• Ability to organize a sizable workload.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Positive interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform essential job functions without posing a direct threat to health or safety, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous storeroom and general clerical experience.

Pay

Salary range for new hires: $15.67–$23.50 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education. This range reflects base pay and does not include benefits such as healthcare, dental, vision, or retirement.
