Courier I - Per Diem

About the role

As a Courier, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies needed for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to your branch at the end of your shift.
• Handle all specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws.
• Utilize a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.

Requirements

• Very punctual with strong time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem-solve customer issues.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• At least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required (minimum).
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• 1 year or more of driver or courier experience (preferred).
• 1 year or more of customer service experience (preferred).

Schedule

This is a casual/per diem position with start and end times varying from Monday–Friday (1:00 PM–9:30 PM) and weekends.
