Courier I - Per Diem

About the role
As a Courier, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Load all necessary supplies needed for daily pickups.
- Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
- Deliver all daily pickups to your branch at the end of your shift.
- Handle all specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently.
- Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws.
- Utilize a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
- Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
- Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
Requirements
- Very punctual with strong time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to problem-solve customer issues.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- At least 21 years old.
Qualifications
- No education or experience required (minimum).
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- 1 year or more of driver or courier experience (preferred).
- 1 year or more of customer service experience (preferred).
Schedule
This is a casual/per diem position with start and end times varying from Monday–Friday (1:00 PM–9:30 PM) and weekends.
