Per Diem Direct Support Professional Residential

Responsibilities

• Build a long-term relationship with the individuals we support.
• Interact with individuals in a positive and encouraging manner.
• Demonstrate a professional demeanor, patience, empathy, and a strong desire to help others.
• Support individuals in leading self-directed lives and fostering a spirit of partnership.
• Work at least 2 shifts per month with Wildwood staff.
• Be punctual and attend all scheduled shifts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of Word Processing software and familiarity with Computer & Internet applications.
• Flexibility & commitment, and solid communication skills.
• Required trainings: SCIP; CPR/1st Aid & Choking.
• Must be available M-F to meet training requirements.
• A valid NYS driver's license and ability to drive.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs on their own with no accommodation.

Qualifications

• Additional Requirements: Valid NYS driver's license and ability to lift at least 50 lbs on their own with no accommodation.
• May need daily access to a vehicle based on program needs.
• Annual Recurring Trainings: Corporate Compliance, Performance Evaluation, Abuse Prevention/Incident Reporting, Harassment Prevention in the Workplace, BBP & TB Overview, SCIP-R, CPR/FA/AED.
• All trainings must be current and taken within the last year for SCIP-R and every 2 years for CPR/FA/AED.
