PER DIEM COUNSELOR – COMMUNITY RESIDENCE

RISE Housing and Support Services offers an opportunity to earn extra money while gaining experience as a per diem counselor in our community residences.

About the role

The ideal candidate will have an interest in the human services field and the empathy and positivity to be a supportive presence for our residents as they work to overcome life challenges related to mental health diagnoses.

Pay

• Starting per diem counselor rate of $18.50 per hour
• $250 bonus after 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

• Acclimating residents to the structure of the program
• Supervising residents’ daily living activities and house management
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive environment
• Modeling positive and appropriate behaviors for residents

Requirements

• An interest in human services and the dedication to learn
• Ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal boundaries
• Shared belief system in areas such as compassion, respect, dedication, and inclusion
• Successful completion of RISE background checks
• Valid driver’s license and a driving history acceptable to the RISE automobile policy

Schedule

We have a variety of shifts available, including day, evening, weekend, and asleep overnight hours. You may choose a regular schedule or accept shifts as available.
