Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (Brain Injury)

Assist in daily routine or episodic nursing aide care to adults with brain injuries on a per diem basis in a clinically intensive program tailored to individuals with complex health needs. Work collaboratively with individuals served, their families, friends, employers, and support staff to transform lives through rehabilitation values, principles, and techniques, including skills training to promote independence.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP) guidelines.
  • Assist individuals to become more integrated into their communities.
  • Help the program meet the highest quality standards.
  • Employ rehabilitation values, principles, and techniques to help individuals overcome barriers and live more independently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current C.N.A. certificate valid in Massachusetts.
  • Strong time management and writing skills.
  • At least 21 years of age with a current, valid US driver’s license for at least 6 months.
  • Ability to obtain the following certifications within specified timeframes:
    • CPR and First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment.
    • Safety Care certified within 90 days of employment.
    • MAP certified within 150 days of employment.
  • Must successfully pass a CORI, reference, and national fingerprinting background check.

Pay

USD $19.25 - USD $22.75 per hour.
