About the role

Provides basic medical assistance to physicians/providers and nurses.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients according to area specific Policy and Procedures including vital signs, chart preparation, phlebotomy, procedure assistance and lab sample collection.
• Utilizes department specific computer systems for entry and retrieval of patient data.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year of previous work related experience.
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Maintains current certification or registration from an accredited institution, e.g.: AAMA, NHA, AMT.
• Bilingual is preferred.
