Per Diem Certified Home Health Aide

About the role

Samaritan is seeking a compassionate Certified Home Health Aide to join our team. As a Home Health Aide, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality, expert care of your assigned hospice patients.

Responsibilities

• Caring for hospice patients in private homes and/or healthcare facilities
• Assisting with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, assistance with meals, ambulation, re-positioning, etc.
• Implementing plan of care under the directive of a registered nurse
• Performing light housekeeping in patient area only, when needed
• Documenting patient care in electronic software
• Ability to travel to patient homes and facilities as assigned
• Represent Samaritan in a positive manner to the patients, families and entire community
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid NJ CHHA certification
• Must have a valid Driver's License and vehicle with a willingness to travel throughout the service area
• Every other weekend and 2 holidays per year required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay

$18.75 – $22.00 per hour based on years of experience

Schedule

Per Diem, every other weekend and 2 holidays per year required
