PEPI Senior Associate - Merger Integration & Carve-Outs

About the role

A&M’s PEPI practice focuses on improving operating results at private equity portfolio companies. The MI&C team provides a structured and disciplined approach to mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, joint ventures, and alliances. The team works across the deal lifecycle, from pre-deal operational and synergy reviews to post-deal implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify key client business issues and supplement standard assessment techniques with innovative approaches.
  • Evaluate and validate analysis and develop recommendations for the client.
  • Assist with workstreams or focus areas within the Integration Management Office (IMO) – Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 Readiness, Executive Reporting, Integration Roadmap, Communications, Organizational Design, Day 1 and Day 100 Planning, execution, and performance improvement.
  • Drive performance improvement in strategic planning, operational optimization, back office consolidation, supply chain, IT/reporting integration, customer and channel management.
  • Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives and adjust integration strategies or personnel as needed.

Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years of professional consulting experience, specializing in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
  • Experience in integration planning and divestitures (not required).
  • Deep functional expertise in finance & accounting operations, HR/Organizational design, Role and Job Analysis, Leadership and Stakeholder Involvement, Communications planning and management, Knowledge Management and Transfer.
  • Success in planning and driving revenue and profitability growth initiatives, operationally.
  • Program management and leadership experience.
  • Specific experience designing and leading the execution of change/communications strategies.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Initiative and drive.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Flexibility to travel at least 75% of time.
