PEPI Senior Associate - IT M&A
Description
The role is within the Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) – Information Technology & Merger Integration team at Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity. This team serves upper middle market and large cap private equity firms, focusing on improving operating results at their portfolio companies.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience, with a minimum of three years specializing in systems implementations, merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-acquisition IT diligence assignments, focusing on ERP, WMS, CRM, IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, Software Development Lifecycle, budgetary analysis, and organizational/personnel assessment.
- Execute merger integration and carve-out projects, ensuring successful implementation and integration.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives in key areas such as ERP, back office, supply chain, BI/reporting integration, customer and channel management, and adjust strategies or personnel as necessary.
- Manage the quality of deliverables and maintain strong day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
Requirements
- Deep functional expertise in one or more of the following areas: IT pre-acquisition diligence, IT merger integration and carve-out, business/IT transformation program/project management (ERP), collaboration and leading change to improve key business functions, IT operations, solution architecture, enterprise architecture and infrastructure, IT assessment and strategy development, IT performance improvement and cost reduction.
- Proven writing skills with a desire to produce polished client-facing documents.
- Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
- Experience designing and supervising the execution of internally-focused and externally-focused change/communications strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Flexibility to travel at least 75% of the time.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Benefits
The salary range is $100,000 - $150,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Pay
The salary range is $100,000 - $150,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
Schedule
Full-time positions are offered, with regular employees working 30 or more hours per week. Part-time positions are also available, with eligibility for the same benefits.
