Liquidity & Working Capital Optimization
Focuses on maintaining up-to-date knowledge of US GAAP, providing recommendations and conclusions on the application of complex accounting guidance, preparing and reviewing pre- and post-deal financial reporting, investigating and remediating unexplained EBITDA volatility, and guiding clients through the IPO readiness journey.
Strategic Analytics & Planning
Provides strategic analytics and planning, performance measurement and management, and business transformation services. Guides team members in information gathering, leads client interviews, identifies knowledge gaps, and develops actionable plans to optimize working capital, instill a liquidity-focused culture, and improve financial processes and organizational design.
Financial Reporting Advisory
- Guides clients through the IPO readiness journey by drafting SEC reporting and providing audit support.
- Investigates and remediates unexplained EBITDA volatility, unexpected financial results, or unreconciled accounts through advisory or interim management roles.
- Drives working capital disputes to favorable outcomes by managing the process through settlement or arbitration.
Professional Expectations
- Data Collection, Validation and Analysis: Guides team members in information gathering approach and ensures all relevant sources of information are pursued. Leads client interviews, asks inquisitive questions, understands different stakeholders' perspectives, identifies knowledge gaps, challenges status quo, validates, disproves, and develops better assumptions. Identifies key business challenges, accurately forecasts liquidity needs, pinpoints financial/accounting process inefficiencies, and assesses the organization's design, roles, and teams. Ensures issues and opportunities are clearly and concisely presented.
- Project Management and Implementation: Owns and completes a workstream based on the pillars of services CFO Services provides. Sets and communicates client's expectations consistently. Creates actionable plans such as initiatives to optimize working capital, instill a liquidity-focused culture, improve transparency in processes and organizations. Identifies risks and obstacles early on, creates contingency plans, and communicates timely with the client.
- Leadership: Leverages previous experience to guide and promote team to think innovatively. Recognizes the current skill set of team members and maximizes their level of contribution. Shares knowledge and experience, provides coaching to teammates.
- Financial Acumen: Builds and reviews various financial models, provides valuable financial analysis, evaluates accounting treatments, provides valuable insight and improvement initiatives to senior management and board members.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range is $150,000-$225,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Employees are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits, including healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Employees may also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part-time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The amount of vacation and personal days available varies based on tenure and role type.
