About the role

Parks Site Lead responsible for overseeing daily operations at designated park sites, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the public. This position is ACA benefitted and works 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of park maintenance staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure park facilities, equipment, and grounds are properly maintained and safe for public use.
  • Monitor park usage and enforce city rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate with other city departments on park-related projects and events.
  • Respond to public inquiries and concerns regarding park facilities and services.
  • Prepare reports on park operations, maintenance issues, and incidents.
  • Assist in planning and implementing park programs and special events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in parks and recreation, public administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in parks maintenance, recreation, or a related field.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license and ability to obtain a City of Peoria driver’s permit.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with email and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
