peopleSoft Application Developer

About the role

Work Location: State Street; Albany, New York. Duration: 2 years with the possibility of extension. Work Arrangement: On‑site work required 4 days per pay period with a mandatory in‑person all‑team meeting once per month.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions to business problems described in requirements and specifications
• Analyze system defects and present proposed solutions and workarounds
• Communicate effectively with business analysts and various technical staff
• Recommend and implement system architecture improvements
• Design system changes with consultation from other groups including, but not limited to: Secure file transport, Server Administration, Database Administration, Scheduling, Security
• Validate system functionality after infrastructure upgrades and resolve any observed issues
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Six or more years of application development experience with PeopleSoft using at least three of the following toolsets: XML, PeopleSoft SQR, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, PSQuery, Data Mover, Application Engine, Component Interface
• Six or more years of experience using SQL over PeopleSoft Data Structures
• Four or more years of experience using PeopleTools 8.57 and higher
• Four or more years of experience conceptualizing and transforming business requirements into design documents with associated test plans and documentation
• Three or more years of experience developing collaborative solutions and troubleshooting issues between functional and technical teams
• Three or more years of experience providing knowledge transfer on new technologies and/or the developed application to other application developers
• Two or more years of experience developing solutions in APEX Version 20.1 or higher

Skills

• Oracle Database 19c and higher – Tables, Views, Indexes, Packages, Procedures, Functions
• Oracle Application Express (APEX) 24 and 26
• Linux Servers – simple scripts for file management and transfer
• Interaction with legacy and interfacing systems: PeopleSoft Financials, Mainframe, PowerBuilder
• Experience with PeopleSoft SQR, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, PSQuery, Data Mover, Application Engine, Component Interface
• Proficiency in SQL over PeopleSoft Data Structures
• PeopleTools 8.57+
• Ability to develop collaborative solutions and provide knowledge transfer

Pay

Corp‑to‑Corp rate: $95.00 per hour; Hourly w/2 rate: $85.00 per hour.

Schedule

Weekly Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, 7 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday‑Friday. Occasional extended hours may be required by mutual agreement (e.g., weekends, outside normal business hours). On‑site work required 4 days per pay period with a mandatory in‑person all‑team meeting once per month.
