About the Role

Samsung SDS America is seeking a dynamic, hands-on People Team Coordinator to join our HR team supporting our corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to become part of our organization during an exciting period of growth and transformation. You'll serve as the local HR presence at our Plano office, partnering closely with existing People Team members.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations
    • Provide guidance on employee relations matters while ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant practices
    • Coach managers on employee performance, engagement, conflict resolution, and corrective actions
  • HR Operations
    • Support employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, and organizational changes
    • Ensure accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity
    • Coordinate benefits enrollment, leave administration, and employee documentation
    • Support payroll processing via correspondence with Payroll Admin for employee changes
  • Talent & Organizational Support
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires
    • Support hiring managers during periods of rapid organizational growth
    • Coordinate new employee orientation and integration activities
  • Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
    • Maintain compliance with company policies and HR best practices
  • HR Projects
    • Participate in HR initiatives that improve employee experience and operational excellence
    • Support HR programs, policies, and technology
    • Support corporate relocation and organizational integration projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience as an HR Administrator or HR Business Partner
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience handling employee relations issues independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
