People Services Business Partner

Facility: Lourdes Health, Pasco, WA – Full-time, day-shift, union position.

About the role

As the People Services Business Partner, you will advise the workforce on Human Resources and payroll policies and programs. You will consult with, coach, and advise managers on HR activities, employee issues, and concerns. This role is pivotal in identifying, developing, and implementing employee relations, retention, and recruitment/staffing support programs, as well as HR data/analytics. You will also advise on industry trends and best practices.

In addition to employee relations duties, you will assist the Director of HR with overseeing daily HR department operations, coordinate and oversee departmental projects (local and HSC-led), and provide counsel to managers and employees on all aspects of Human Resources, legal, and regulatory obligations. You will also assist with training new staff members on all systems.

Responsibilities

• Advise workforce on HR and payroll policies and programs.

• Provide guidance on HR data/analytics and industry trends.
• Assist Director of HR with daily HR department operations.

• Provide knowledgeable counsel on all aspects of Human Resources, legal, and regulatory obligations.
• Assist with training new staff members on HR systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (required). Master’s Degree (preferred).
• PHR/SPHR certification (preferred).
• Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 2 years of direct employee relations experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of labor laws, including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and FMLA.
• Experience in a healthcare environment utilizing Just Culture principles (strongly preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
