About the Role

As the People Service Center Coordinator, you will support HR functions including administration, employee relations, policy and procedure development, and education. This role is a key contributor in the Varsity Brands People Services Center, focusing on elevating the employee experience through onboarding, offboarding, HR inquiries, payroll, benefits, and unemployment claims. You will interact with all levels of employees and partner with HRBPs to fulfill HR needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to all internal and external HR Tier 1 inquiries or requests
- Escalate Tier 2 issues to departmental Centers of Excellence (COE’s) for resolution
- Promote and raise awareness to ensure employees effectively utilize intranet and Workday resources
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding aspects of the employee lifecycle
- Process background screens in compliance with Varsity Brands and EEOC hiring rules and standards
- Process and respond to employment verifications and unemployment claims
- Provide information about benefits, compensation, and payroll to employees
- Serve as the front-line initial point of contact in the Workday Help system for employee concerns
- Support a large volume of in-person inquiries at the facility
- Maintain New Hire processing in shared drive and DocuSign required forms
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field required, with 1–2 years of Human Resources experience preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required
- Warehouse or manufacturing HR experience is a plus
- Understanding of HR tools such as ATS, HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll processing systems
- Knowledge of Federal and State Human Resource related laws and regulations
- Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Workday, UKG, or ADP is a plus

Pay
$22–$25 an hour. Pay rate will vary based on criteria such as education, experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and market alignment.
Schedule
- Full-time, onsite role
- Monday – Friday, 8AM–5PM
- Travel requirement: less than 5%
