This role is a key local representative of People Practices (PP), ensuring a best-in-class employee and candidate experience. Responsibilities include driving engagement with learning and development, partnering in cultural programming, onboarding, interview coordination, and builder development program success. The role serves as the first point of contact for employees, connecting them and managers to the right resources and support within People Operations. Bilingual (Spanish and English) fluency, both written and oral, is required.
Responsibilities
- Partner with People Practices Leader and People Practices Business Partner to provide best-in-class employee and candidate experiences.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees and guide them and managers to available tools and resources.
- Interpret and apply People Practices processes, policies, and procedures consistently.
- Partner with the Early Career Events Team for college recruitment, summer internship, and builder development program rotations.
- Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and People Operations to deploy PP services and execute daily tasks at a local level, including:
- Training program logistics
- New hire orientation
- Technology support
- Local people practices events planning and coordination
- Apply basic knowledge of employee relations to support a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Refer employees and coaches to the Workplace Services Team or appropriate service channels for complex matters (e.g., leave of absence, benefit changes, employee relations).
- Implement the company-wide onboarding process, including local adaptations for project needs.
- Organize People Practices events and meaningful connection points for employees, such as:
- Employee lunches
- Celebrations
- Safety trainings
- Mental Health Awareness
- Employee Boot Program
- Construction Inclusion Week
- Administer employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and retention programs.
- Partner with the Business Partner to ensure an admired employee experience with a focus on equity and inclusion throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, development, and team environments.
- Facilitate a 30/60/90-day check-in process with new employees and their coach(es).
- Handle tactical aspects of employee off-boarding, such as retrieving company technology assets, cell phones, purchasing cards, and updating contact information in Workday.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) fluency, both written and oral, is required.
- 2-4 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Full-time, on-site role, either in an office or at a job site.
- Candidate can be based in any location where DPR Construction has an office.
- Weekly travel to project location in Monroe, LA is required.
