People Practices Advisor-Mega Project
About the Role
This role is a key local representative of People Practices (PP), ensuring a best-in-class employee and candidate experience. Responsibilities include driving engagement with learning and development, cultural programming, onboarding, interview coordination, and builder development (early career) program success. The position serves as the first point of contact to connect employees and managers to the right resources within People Operations. Bilingual (Spanish and English) fluency, both written and oral, is required.
This role supports a strategic Mega Project as an embedded People Practices Business Partner, partnering closely with project leadership and the on-site workforce. Full-time, on-site presence at the project location is required (Monday–Friday). Candidates must be willing to relocate or travel to the assigned project site, with travel support, per diem, and/or relocation assistance provided per company policy.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the People Practices Leader and Business Partner to provide best-in-class employee and candidate experiences.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees, guiding them to available tools and resources.
- Interpret and apply People Practices processes, policies, and procedures consistently.
- Partner with the Early Career Events Team to support college recruitment, summer internships, and builder development program rotations.
- Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and People Operations to deploy local People Practices services, including training logistics, new hire orientation, technology support, and event planning.
- Apply basic knowledge of employee relations to support a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Refer employees to appropriate service channels for complex matters (e.g., leave of absence, benefits changes, employee relations).
- Implement the company-wide onboarding process with local adaptations for project needs.
- Organize People Practices events and connection points, such as Craft Lunches, Top Out Celebrations, Safety Trainings, Mental Health Awareness, Craft Boot Program, and Construction Inclusion Week.
- Administer employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and retention programs.
- Ensure an equitable and inclusive employee experience across the lifecycle, including onboarding, development, and manager relationships.
- Facilitate 30/60/90-day check-ins with new employees and their coaches.
- Handle tactical aspects of employee off-boarding, including retrieving company assets and updating contact information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) fluency, both written and oral, is required.
- 2-4 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Construction industry experience is a plus.
- Full-time, on-site presence at the project location (Monday–Friday).
- Willingness to relocate or travel to the assigned project site; relocation assistance may be provided.
Pay
Compensation range: $82,000 - $123,000.
