About the Role

This role serves as a key local representative of People Practices (PP), ensuring a best-in-class employee and candidate experience. You will drive engagement with learning and development, cultural programming, onboarding, interview coordination, and builder development (early career) program success. As the first point of contact, you will connect employees and managers to the right resources and support within People Operations. This position is embedded on a large/mega project job site and supports a strategic Mega Project, partnering closely with project leadership and the on-site workforce.

Bilingual (Spanish and English) fluency, both written and oral, is required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the People Practices Leader and Business Partner to provide best-in-class employee and candidate experiences.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees, guiding them and their coaches to available tools and resources.
  • Interpret and consistently apply People Practices processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Partner with the Early Career Events Team to meet outcomes for college recruitment, summer internships, and builder development program rotations.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and People Operations to deploy People Practices services, including training program logistics, new hire orientation, technology support, and local events planning.
  • Apply basic knowledge of employee relations to support a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Refer employees and coaches to the Workplace Services Team or appropriate channels for complex matters (e.g., leave of absence, benefits changes, employee relations).
  • Implement the company-wide onboarding process, including local adaptations for project needs.
  • Organize People Practices events and connection points, such as Craft Lunches, Top Out Celebrations, Safety Trainings, Mental Health Awareness, Craft Boot Program, and Construction Inclusion Week.
  • Administer employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and retention programs.
  • Ensure an equitable and inclusive employee experience across the lifecycle, including onboarding, development, and team dynamics.
  • Facilitate 30/60/90-day check-ins with new employees and their coaches.
  • Handle tactical aspects of employee off-boarding, such as retrieving company assets and updating contact information in Workday.

Project Assignment Details

  • Full-time, on-site position (Monday–Friday) assigned to a large-scale Mega Project location within the United States.
  • Daily in-person presence on the project site is required; this is not a remote or hybrid role.
  • Candidates may be based anywhere in the U.S. but must be willing to relocate or travel to the assigned project location.
  • Travel support, per diem, and/or relocation assistance may be provided in accordance with company policy.
  • Ability to support the project on-site for the duration of the assignment is required.
  • This is a regular full-time, permanent position with DPR Construction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2–4 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Construction industry experience is a plus.

Pay

Compensation range: $82,000 – $123,000.
