People Partner, Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a People Partner, Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to engineering leaders and managers, helping shape an inclusive, high-performance environment. The position will partner closely with cross-functional people specialists to support employee growth, organizational design, and scalable people programs. It also calls for strong judgment, coaching ability, and a deep understanding of how to support technical teams in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $255,000 – $310,000 annually Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders in Product and Engineering teams Support employees and managers throughout the HR lifecycle Develop and nurture a high-performance culture aligned with company values Collaborate with specialist teams on scalable programs and policies Engage in cross-functional HR projects to support employee development Partner with technical leaders on organizational design and talent initiatives Assist in creating career development frameworks specific to technical roles Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in HRBP, People Operations, or related fields Experience in fast-paced tech environments, particularly in AI or ML companies Strong understanding of tech team dynamics, particularly product and engineering sectors Proficient knowledge of employment law and HR best practices in North America Ability to provide confidential support and conflict resolution expertise Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a focus on process development Curiosity about and commitment to the safety of AI systems and ethical implications Benefits Hybrid working policy with office attendance requirements Visa sponsorship opportunities Commitment to diversity and inclusion within the workplace Encouragement to apply even if not meeting all qualifications Focus on ethical implications of AI development and safety in technology Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
