People Partner
About the role
The People Partner will join Fox Marble and Fireclay, a vertically integrated surfaces company combining handcrafted materials, precision fabrication, and expert installation. Reporting to Eric Edelson, CEO, this role is based in Richmond, CA.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from onboarding/offboarding to personnel documentation
- Act as the subject matter expert for California wage and hour laws, overseeing timekeeping accuracy, overtime, meal premium requirements, and leave of absence administration
- Provide expert guidance on performance management, conduct expectations, and teammate concerns
- Navigate workplace investigations, ensuring compliance and resolution
- Foster workforce engagement through consistent presence and support across all departments
- Partner with leadership to strengthen engagement and promote a high-performance culture
- Advisory role for executive leadership, interpreting policy, supporting operational decisions, and reinforcing core values
Requirements
