About the role
The People & Organizational Development Manager will serve as a key partner to the CEO and leadership team, helping implement people initiatives that support growth, strengthen culture, and improve organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Leadership Development & Employee Growth
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to execute initiatives that strengthen management effectiveness and employee engagement.
- Coach and support new and developing managers as they build leadership skills and manage teams.
- Create and implement training, development, and performance management programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve employee growth, career development, and organizational effectiveness.
Organizational Development
- Maintain organizational charts, reporting structures, and role clarity across the company.
- Aid leadership in defining responsibilities, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Support workforce planning and organizational design initiatives as the business grows.
- Identify and address organizational challenges that impact communication, collaboration, or performance.
Human Resources & Employee Experience
- Serve as an internal resource for employee relations, performance conversations, and employee development.
- Manage and strengthen the company's relationship with Insperity and help ensure effective use of HR resources and services.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and retention efforts.
- Assist with maintaining policies, procedures, and employee documentation.
- Promote a positive, high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Internal Communications
- Help improve organizational communication and information sharing.
- Cook up leadership communications, team meetings, and company-wide updates.
- Develop processes that improve transparency, alignment, and employee understanding of company priorities.
Operational Support
- Assist leadership in documenting and improving internal processes and workflows.
- Support change management and organizational growth initiatives.
- Create scalable systems and management practices that support continued expansion.
Qualifications
- 3–8 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Talent Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence others through strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting employee development, coaching managers, or facilitating training initiatives.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Strong project management abilities and attention to detail.
- Desire to grow professionally and take on increasing responsibility within a scaling organization.
Preferred Experience
- Working in a small or growing business environment.
- Exposure to organizational development, leadership coaching, employee engagement, or change management initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification (or interest in pursuing one).
