People Operations Specialist
About the role
This is a hands-on execution role. The People Operations Specialist keeps the day-to-day people engine running cleanly, while also being proactive about identifying inefficiencies and improving processes. You support employees, managers, and leadership by making sure the basics are done right—every time.
Responsibilities
- Execute seamless onboarding and offboarding processes end-to-end
- Maintain compliant, audit-ready employee records, files, and documentation (exs., I-9, payroll, benefits, etc.)
- Ensure accuracy across HR systems, payroll inputs, and benefits administration
- Build a seamless onboarding experience
- Support employees, managers, and leadership by answering questions and routing issues appropriately
- Navigate benefits, policies, and internal processes for employees
- Partners with leadership on audits, compliance initiatives, reporting, and scaling people systems
- Work with ATS (Ashby) and internal teams to facilitate recruiting and keep the process running smoothly
- Draft offer letters and new hire paperwork
- Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications
- Avoid process gaps and propose improvements
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in HR, people operations, or a related operations role
- Experience with ATS systems (ideally ashby) and employee management systems (ideally rippling)
- Understanding and executing all state level labor requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort handling confidential information
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks without losing precision
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a must

Pay
The base salary range for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, total compensation may include performance-based incentives, benefits and company options.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule is available.
