Key Responsibilities
- Serve as process lead for tier 1 processes, including but not limited to:
- I-9 verifications
- Employee verifications and letters
- Elevated background checks
- Domestic and international relocation
- Working abroad requests
- International business travel requests
- Workday processing (one-time payments, corrections, employee changes, etc.)
- Manage HR Service Desk tickets, including prioritizing, responding to, and resolving tickets with a high level of empathy and a superior level of service for Optro employees.
- Manage the HR inbox, including responding to external requests, directing email communications to the appropriate person, etc.
- Ensure process documentation is up to date as current processes evolve.
- Maintain employee resources and People Team enablement; proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing content or create new content as needs arise.
- Identify ways to increase operational efficiency through system automation and AI. Proactively research, test, and implement AI workflows to reduce administrative tasks.
- Help drive the team towards employee self-service without compromising experience.
- Contribute to key People Operations special projects such as new program rollouts, new system implementation, systems integration, etc.
Attributes for a Successful Candidate
- Min 1 year of experience as a People Ops, Recruiting Coordinator, or related experience.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to increase productivity.
- High curiosity to learn and explore new systems and experience with AI capabilities in thoughtful and creative ways (Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail with an emphasis on accurate employee data.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Able to closely follow detailed processes while also exercising strong problem solving skills when new, unfamiliar requests arise.
- Able to exercise solid judgement and identify the appropriate time to escalate issues.
- Tech-savvy and skilled with learning new systems.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Workday and experience executing a range of business processes (nice to have but not required).
