About the role

We are looking for an HR Business Partner to provide both strategic and operational HR support across our facilities. In this role, you'll partner closely with business leaders to foster an engaging, inclusive, and high-performing work environment while supporting a growing workforce. As the dedicated HR Business Partner for our Operations organization—including Culinary, Food Safety, Fulfillment, Marketplace, and Logistics—you'll support both exempt employees and a large multi-site hourly population. This role is based in Los Angeles and follows a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite). While primarily supporting teams remotely across multiple markets, you'll also travel to our Seattle facility as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership
    • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for Operations leadership.
    • Coach and advise managers on performance management, organizational design, employee development, and leadership effectiveness.
    • Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
    • Use data and business insights to recommend people strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance
    • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
    • Partner with leaders to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
    • Identify trends and recommend proactive solutions to improve employee engagement and reduce risk.
  • Talent Management
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, and Legal to support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, relocations, and immigration.
    • Conduct exit interviews, analyze turnover trends, and recommend retention strategies.
    • Support organizational change initiatives and drive employee engagement efforts.
  • HR Operations
    • Prepare and manage employment documentation, including offer letters, compensation changes, promotions, and wage notices.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
    • Support HR processes and systems while ensuring data integrity and compliance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience in a fast-paced environment (manufacturing, production, warehouse, or logistics preferred).
  • Strong employee relations experience, including performance management, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience supporting large hourly and frontline employee populations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Rippling, Workday, or ADP.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
