About the Role
Sunrun is the largest dedicated residential solar and storage company in the U.S., on a mission to make energy more reliable and affordable. As a Human Resources (People) Generalist, you’ll partner closely with functional management on HR responsibilities across employee relations, training, performance management, engagement, compensation, and retention activities, with a relentless focus on customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide HR generalist and organizational support on a variety of People items.
- Offer guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and practices, including employee relations, performance management, training, development, change management, and conflict resolution.
- Consult with managers and employees to proactively address employee relations concerns and investigate basic employee issues, partnering with relevant teams for resolution.
- Educate leaders on compensation, performance review processes, new hire onboarding, conflict resolution, and other HR-related topics.
- Support Workday transactional items, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee changes.
- Partner with Center of Excellence (COE) groups to deliver full-service HR support to client groups.
- Support engagement activities aligned with corporate values and retention initiatives.
- Lead or contribute to projects, innovations, and creative problem-solving for both your client group and the broader organization.
- Travel to branches and corporate locations (~10-15% of the time) to meet with leaders and employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist-type role.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good judgment and a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with Workday and Google Suite (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to enhance productivity or a growth mindset to rapidly master new AI technologies.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Work Environment
Traditional office or hybrid work environment, with visits to Sunrun branch locations.
Pay
Starting salary for this opportunity ranges from $66,798.09 to $89,064.12. Compensation decisions will not be based on a candidate's salary history.
