People Business Manager - Onboarding Trainer
Position Overview
Curis is seeking an Onboarding Training Manager to lead onboarding for all new hires across the organization, fostering a structured, high-touch experience that supports professionals and multi-functional field-based teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead onboarding for all new hires across the organization, creating a structured, high-touch experience that sets employees up for long-term success
Own key onboarding outcomes: strong employee engagement, deep understanding of the Curis care model, high retention, and accelerated productivity
New Hire Support & Integration:
Serve as a central point of support for new hires during their first 90–180 days
Design a proactive support system including regular check-ins, coaching, and guidance tailored to each role
Ensure new affiliates and hires receive clear expectations, feedback, and resources needed to succeed
Identify and address early challenges or gaps in affiliation or performance, ensuring timely intervention and support
Community Building & Cultural Integration:
- Foster a strong sense of belonging by intentionally connecting new joiners to peers, mentors, and cross-functional teams
- Design and facilitate onboarding experiences that immerse employees in the Curis culture, values, and “Curis Way”
- Create and support internal communities (e.g., cohorts, peer groups, buddy systems) to encourage collaboration and shared learning
- Create opportunities for new joiners to engage with leadership and feel connected to the broader organization
Onboarding Coordination & Readiness:
- Ensure full operational readiness prior to each new joiner's start (administrative setup, clinic readiness, systems access)
- Coordinate all onboarding logistics, training schedules, and cross-functional introductions
- Oversee delivery of onboarding-related training programs in partnership with subject matter experts
- Partner with the COO and regional leaders to assess outcomes and continuously improve onboarding effectiveness
Accountability & Performance Tracking:
- Establish clear onboarding milestones and success metrics for the first 6 months
- Monitor performance, engagement, and progress against defined goals
- Track key performance indicators and gather structured feedback from both new joiners / affiliates and other clinic personnel
- Hold Curis team accountable for onboarding success through regular reviews and alignment
Training Strategy & Program Development
Design and manage a scalable Curis training program aligned with our care model and operational processes
Maintain a structured training curriculum across key categories:
- Curis Model & Value Proposition
- Patient Experience
- Operational Workflows
- Systems (EHR)
- Compliance (HIPAA, policies, procedures)
Ensure training content remains current as processes evolve
Define delivery model (e.g., online modules, live sessions, workshops, role-play, job shadowing)
Training Coordination & Delivery
Coordinate internal and external trainers, including executive leaders, clinical experts, and operational teams
Facilitate select training sessions and workshops
Ensure standard cadence and consistent training delivery across all clinic locations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 or more years of experience in Customer Success, Onboarding, Operations, or a related client-facing role
- 2 or more years of direct people management experience, leading and mentoring a team
- Demonstrated track record of defining and implementing process improvements that resulted in measurable operational efficiencies and/or customer experience improvements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data (KPIs, metrics) to drive decisions and manage team performance
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
