About the role

At Bending Spoons we aim to build one of the all‑time great companies: serving a huge number of customers, enabling team members to reach their full potential, operating with unparalleled effectiveness and efficiency, creating extraordinary value for shareholders, and upholding high ethical standards. We acquire and improve digital businesses to own and operate them long‑term, often making deep transformations that speed up innovation, benefit customers, and strengthen performance. Hierarchy is minimal, teams are small and talent‑dense, and we run established products with the ambition, agility, and urgency of a startup. AI is deeply integrated into our work so that human judgment and machine intelligence reinforce each other. In this role you will close acquisitions, restructure legal entities, and harmonize workforces across jurisdictions—often simultaneously and always at pace. You will spend far more time navigating new challenges than following established routines, and your work will regularly demand judgment over process.

Responsibilities

  • Support new office launches by coordinating the administrative workstream, conducting due diligence on local requirements, and building and maintaining the administrative blueprint.
  • Steer the people side of extraordinary administrative operations including new business acquisitions, internal reorganizations, legal restructuring, and share option plans.
  • Stay up to date with workplace international laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and effective enforcement across our organizations, also in collaboration with external consultants.
  • Work cross‑functionally to develop and implement exceptional employee welfare and benefits initiatives.
  • Manage job offers, onboarding, and offboarding end‑to‑end—from negotiation and visa support to administrative updates—ensuring outstanding experiences while streamlining workflows through automation and AI‑enabled tools.

Requirements

  • Reasoning ability: given the necessary knowledge you can solve complex problems, think from first principles, structure ideas sharply, resist bias, and identify the details that matter.
  • Drive: extremely ambitious in everything you do, with initiative, effort, and tenacity matching your ambition; you feel deeply responsible for your work and hold yourself to a high—and rising—bar.
  • Team spirit: you give generously without expectation of return, support the best idea (not your own), are happy to get your hands dirty to help the team, and are reliable, honest, and transparent.
  • Proficiency in English: you read, write, and speak proficiently in English.

Benefits

  • Flexible hours
  • Remote working
  • Unlimited backing for learning and training
  • Top‑of‑the‑market health insurance
  • Rich relocation package
  • Generous parental support
  • Yearly retreat to a stunning location
  • Generous travel and accommodation assistance for the initial Milan onboarding period

Pay

Competitive pay. Typically, we offer individuals with limited experience an annual salary of $107,050 in the United States. For candidates we assess as possessing exceptional potential and highly unusual achievement, compensation typically ranges $164,852 to $345,091. Compensation varies by location and expected impact. In higher‑cost markets such as New York City, offers are generally positioned toward the upper end of the range. As you grow your expertise and increase your contributions, your compensation can grow rapidly alongside your impact.

Schedule

Permanent or fixed‑term contract. Full‑time. Locations: Atlanta (GA), Boston (MA), Miami (FL), New York (NY), or fully remote from eligible countries. Initial onboarding expects most days in the Milan office for the first few months, with travel and accommodation assistance provided.
