PennDOT CDL Operator Trainee (Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee)
About the role

Responsibilities
- Learn to operate trucks, loaders, and other maintenance equipment
- Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
- Follow safety procedures and use protective gear
- Report hazards or incidents
- Perform basic inspections, adjustments, and documentation for assigned equipment
- Stay alert to hazards and help maintain a safe environment for crews and the public
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License or equivalent
- Active Pennsylvania Class A or B Commercial Driver Learner's Permit on the first day of work
- Active Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations by the first day of work
- Successful operation of equipment with a manual transmission

Pay
Selected candidates will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $42,347 (before taxes).
