Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive organizational data and analytics strategy aligned with Rising Ground's mission and strategic plan.
- Lead the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of organizational performance data.
- Identify trends, opportunities, risks, and operational efficiencies through advanced analytics.
- Partner with senior leadership and program administration teams to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcome measures.
- Create predictive and descriptive analytics to support decision-making and resource allocation.
- Oversee enterprise reporting systems and dashboards.
- Design and maintain executive-level, operational and administrative dashboards that provide meaningful insights into organizational performance.
- Ensure data is accessible, understandable, and actionable for stakeholders at all levels.
- Produce recurring and ad hoc reports for executive leadership, board committees, funders, and regulatory agencies.
- Lead efforts to standardize reporting practices across departments and programs.
- Establish and maintain data governance standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with IT and program leadership to improve data collection processes and system utilization.
- Conduct data audits and quality reviews to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Develop protocols for data stewardship and accountability throughout the organization.
- Support program evaluation efforts and outcome measurement initiatives required by all funders.
- Analyze program effectiveness and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Quality Management, Compliance, and Operations teams to monitor organizational performance indicators.
- Aid leadership in translating data findings into actionable improvement plans.
- Supervise and mentor data analysts' team, reporting specialists, and other assigned staff.
- Build organizational capacity through training and education on data literacy and analytics.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data analytics, performance measurement, and business intelligence.
- Participate in organizational committees, strategic planning efforts, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making.
- Evaluate and implement emerging analytics tools and technologies.
- Lead initiatives related to data visualization, artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced reporting capabilities.
- Partner with technology teams to optimize data infrastructure and reporting platforms.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and predictive analytics to improve organizational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, performance management, or a related field, including 3–5 years of leadership experience.
- Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, human services, child welfare, or education is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Netsmart), along with strong analytical, data governance, and quality improvement knowledge.
- Excellent communication, presentation, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and influence decision-making.
- Demonstrated leadership characterized by accountability, integrity, emotional intelligence, professionalism, resilience, sound judgment, and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and mission-driven work.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and attend meetings and presentations both virtually and in person.
