Peer Support Worker

Responsibilities
- Facilitate therapeutic groups and document individual participation and responses
- Provide peer support to individuals within the Crisis Service Center and TO/CSU units
- Engage individuals through structured activities (e.g., games, puzzles, reading materials) that support understanding of the recovery process
- Maintain and organize group materials and ensure information is current and accessible
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of group sessions
- Support individuals in accessing appropriate outdoor and recreational time
- Provide basic case management support, including linking individuals to resources and services
- Auxiliary with pat-down searches in accordance with safety protocols
- Support Case Manager with tasks such as ROI calls, follow-ups, NSH surveys, SOAP notes, and insurance-related processes as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office applications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with having a mental health diagnosis, behavioral health diagnosis, or addiction recovery OR being a parent to a child with a diagnosis
