Peer Support Specialist (Bilingual Preferred)

Job Summary

As a Bilingual Peer Support Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in helping individuals develop achievable goals, provide structured coaching, and moderate content to optimize positive mental health.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention, wellness promotion, and psychoeducation through structured coaching sessions
• Offer care coordination and case management
• Develop individualized care plans to promote positive behavioral change
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Optimize positive mental health by addressing determinants of mental health
• Minimize mental health problems by addressing determinants of mental health
• Work with users to identify problem areas, obstacles, and create wellness plans
• Offer single session coaching to set goals and action plans
• Screen and assess mental health and wellness, identifying risks and supporting individuals in crisis
• Moderate service user submitted content, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Communicate with other healthcare providers to provide a seamless care experience
• Attend and contribute to clinical supervision, training, and team meetings
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with professionals on safeguarding issues
• Support operational aspects of Kooth to ensure consistent, reliable, and repeatable experiences

Requirements

• National Certified Peer Specialist
• Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist
• 6 months experience providing peer to peer support services
• Current state certification with a minimum training requirement of 40 hours
• Permanent residence within the US 48 contiguous states
• Bilingual in Spanish (a plus)
