Job Summary

The F/ACT Peer Support Specialist is a member of the clinical team dedicated to F/ACT clients. Coordinates services based on daily staffings with other members of the clinical team, provides experience, strength, and hope to individuals, their families, and significant others by sharing their recovery experience and knowledge of the behavioral health system and available community resources to promote recovery and self-improvement.

CBI is the premier non-profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, including prevention, education and treatment using cutting-edge, nationally recognized, evidence-based models.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates services based on daily staffings with other members of the clinical team
  • Provides experience, strength, and hope to individuals, their families, and significant others by sharing their recovery experience and knowledge of the behavioral health system and available community resources
  • Promotes recovery and self-improvement

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED required
  • Associate Degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required
  • One to three years of experience working in the Behavioral Health and/or Substance Abuse field preferred
  • Current AZ Driver’s License
  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in accordance with A.A.C. R9-10-101.33 and CBI Clinical Policies and Procedures required
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist certification
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card

  • Knowledge of behavioral health systems and community resources
