Peer Support Specialist – Behavioral Health

Responsibilities

• Utilize lived experience with behavioral health, justice involvement, or recovery to support clients.
• Build trusting relationships, provide mentoring, and advocate for clients.
• Assist individuals in navigating community resources, housing, treatment, and reentry services.
• Co-facilitate group sessions and support goal planning.
• Document services and collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and community partners.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with behavioral health, justice involvement, or recovery, preferably firsthand.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish trust and provide mentorship.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a trauma-informed, equity-focused team.
• Competence in documentation and group facilitation.
