About the role
Keystone is a non-profit organization proudly serving the Rock Hill, South Carolina community. As an accredited and licensed provider, we offer comprehensive education, prevention, and treatment programs designed to empower individuals and families facing alcohol and drug related challenges.
We are looking for passionate, dedicated Peer Support Specialists to join our mission-driven team. Available schedules:
- Monday through Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate recovery expertise—including knowledge of approaches to support others in recovery and dual recovery—and model self-directed recovery efforts.
- Conduct care management for patients in collaboration with the clinical team throughout the treatment process.
- Assess patient needs and provide access to housing, education, employment, childcare, transportation, legal services, and Medication Assisted Treatment.
- Maintain effective communication with community partners through staffing and case review.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with DAODAS, DHEC, CARF, DHHS (Medicaid), and DSS standards.
- Remain current by completing annual TB screening, mandatory 20-hour training for re-credentialing, and safety training.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is preferred; a minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- One year of active participation in a local or national self-help group or recovery movement.
- Completion of a pre-certification program: forty hours of SCDHHS-approved training and a passing score on the written certification exam.
- Experience and training in working with specific client groups.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Proficiency with MS Office computer software applications.
Schedule
- Option 1: Monday–Thursday, 1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- Option 2: Tuesday–Saturday, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
