About the role
RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center, has an immediate opening for a part-time (20 hrs/wk) Peer Support Center Assistant at our Oak Ridge location. The scheduled days will be Tuesday-Friday, noon-5pm.
Requirements
- A current or former mental health consumer
- Eligible for Certified Peer Recovery Specialists training within 1 year of employment
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to the needs of adults with serious mental illness
- Good communication, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Active in your mental health recovery
- A valid Tennessee driver’s license and safe driving record to be insurable under Ridgeview’s policy
- Flexible to work in other counties when needed
Job Duties
- Provide peer support
- Assistance in recordkeeping
- Lead mental health recovery groups
- Provide social activities for consumers
