Peer Specialist

About the Role

The role of a certified specialist/peer educator provides patients with support from those who have lived experience, offering an insider perspective and resources to aid in their individualized recovery process. The Peer Specialist will collaborate with the care team and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to patients using lived experience.
• Collaborate with the care team to support patient recovery.
• Offer resources and an insider perspective to aid in individualized recovery.

Requirements

• High school diploma (required).
• Current certification as a peer specialist (required).
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience providing peer support.
• NYCPS certification and graduation from a recognized peer specialist training program.
• Proficiency in computer literacy, Microsoft products, and electronic health records.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of work experience providing peer support.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, with day and evening hours.
