About the Role
This position is with the MDH Local Health - Dorchester County.
Responsibilities
- Provide peer recovery support services to individuals with substance use disorders.
- Assist clients in developing recovery plans and goals.
- Facilitate recovery-oriented groups and one-on-one sessions.
- Connect clients with community resources and support services.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with clinical team members to coordinate care.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for individuals in recovery.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist in Maryland.
- Lived experience with substance use recovery.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of community resources and recovery support services.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay
$49,214.00 - $63,669.00/year, with potential growth to $77,620.00/year.
Schedule
