Pay
$48,486.00 – $61,464.00/year, with potential growth to $77,722.00/year
Responsibilities
- Provide peer recovery support services to individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders
- Assist clients in developing and implementing individualized recovery plans
- Facilitate peer support groups and educational workshops
- Connect clients with community resources and treatment services
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate care
- Advocate for clients’ needs and rights within the healthcare system
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain certification
Requirements
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist in Maryland (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
- Personal lived experience with substance use and/or mental health recovery
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of local community resources and treatment options
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
