About the role

The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. This position requires a strong background in peer support and a current CPRS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients in recovery
  • Facilitate support groups and workshops
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations
  • Evaluate client progress and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Engage in ongoing education and training related to recovery support services

Requirements

  • Current CPRS certification
  • Experience working with individuals in recovery
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Passion for peer support and recovery
