Primary Position Responsibilities
- Respond in a timely manner when called to the emergency department or community.
- Gather consumer information for follow-up and as required by grant(NJ Div. of Mental Health and Addiction Services).
- Educate survivors on OORP program and navigating the treatment system.
- Be a positive role model for consumer and family.
- Aid consumer in constructing a Wellness Recovery Action Plan.
- Provide telephone and face to face follow up with consumers.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Required - High School diploma. Preferred - Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Equivalent.
- Minimum Years of Experience: Personal experience of Recovery Required.
- Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: CPRS (Certified Peer Recovery Specialist) Required.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems. Computer literate, skilled in customer service.
