About the Role
Telecare values lived experience and offers a career ladder specific to our Peer Workforce. The Peer Recovery Coach II (PRC II) engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members to help them explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. The PRC II coaches and guides other Peer Support professionals, provides peer services supervision in collaboration with the clinical supervisor, and acts as a peer services consultant to program leadership and staff. They may deliver educational supervision groups on peer support services and promote Telecare’s Recovery Culture through the Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS). Additionally, PRC IIs respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills.
Responsibilities
- Engage and inspire members to explore and achieve their recovery goals.
- Coach and guide other Peer Support professionals in delivering peer support services.
- Provide peer services supervision in collaboration with the clinical supervisor.
- Act as a peer services consultant to program leadership and staff.
- Deliver educational supervision groups on the discipline of peer support services.
- Promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture (RCCS).
- Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
- Two (2) years or part-time equivalent of experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges.
- Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
- Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
- Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
- Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups.
Schedule
Full-Time, AM Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
Pay
Expected starting wage range is $23.00 - $26.25 per hour. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges based on the location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

About the Program
AgeWise is a community-based program serving older adults (aged 59+). It provides Strengths-Based Case Management, a consumer-driven and collaborative approach to assist members in identifying needs and building comprehensive treatment plans. The goal is to help members live in the community by linking them to housing, medical care, psychiatric care, and natural supports. AgeWise’s Institutional Case Management (ICM) serves conserved members in long-term care facilities, providing support in benefits, care coordination, discharge planning, and advocacy to ensure placement in the least restrictive environment.
