Peer Recovery Coach

About the role

Judson Center is a human services organization founded in 1924 with locations in five counties. The Peer Recovery Coach position is open to individuals with a lived experience in mental health and substance use services.

Responsibilities

• Interact and support individuals working towards recovery
• Mentor individuals in their recovery journey
• Be an essential member of multi-disciplinary treatment teams

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Certified Peer Support Specialist preferred or willing to become certified within 6 months
• Primary diagnosis of mental illness or substance use from a public mental health service
• Demonstrate leadership and advocacy skills
• Show a strong dedication to recovery
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with various professionals and the public
• Competent in using electronic health records and Microsoft Office
• Comply with relevant licensing rules, accreditation standards, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies

Qualifications
