Peer Navigator

About the role

The Peer Navigator contributes to AHF by playing a key role in engaging participants, providing peer support, and connecting individuals to appropriate services and resources. The Peer Navigator enhances the reputation of AHF by conducting outreach and representing the program at community events and partner meetings. The Peer Navigator will collaborate with team members to ensure a safe, welcoming, and recovery-oriented environment. You will be a passionate advocate for AHF's top initiatives while ensuring the AHF Core Values and Mission stay top of mind in all activities.

AHF operates in a dynamic environment, adapting to provide the best experience for clients and a supportive workplace for employees. The organization has a collaborative structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders. The Peer Navigator will work as part of a close-knit team to provide peer support and engagement to individuals accessing The Living Room.

This role is ideal for someone with lived or professional experience in recovery who is passionate about building community, reducing barriers to care, and supporting individuals at all stages of change.

Responsibilities

• Engage participants and provide peer support.
• Connect individuals to appropriate services and resources.
• Conduct outreach and represent the program at community events and partner meetings.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe, welcoming, and recovery-oriented environment.
• Advocate for AHF’s top initiatives while upholding the organization’s Core Values and Mission.

Requirements

• Peer Specialist certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Lived or professional experience in recovery.
• Passion for building community, reducing barriers to care, and supporting individuals at all stages of change.
