What We Offer

• Starting Pay Range: $26.19 - $27.76 per hour
• Additional Pay For Availability: $75.00 per pay period (2 times per month)
• Ability to earn additional pay: based on performance
• Extensive training provided (i.e. WISe, De-Escalation, etc.)
• Daily supervision and support, as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age 21 or older.
• Personal (lived) experience as a parent of a child who has been or is receiving community / mental health services within the past ten years.
• Ability to drive to our family homes within the community with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance with an acceptable driving record per CCS policy.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to visually assess safety within family homes and in the community.
• Availability to flex some work hours.
• Demonstrate the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
• Passport to support and uphold the mission, beliefs and values of Catholic Community Services.

Responsibilities

Peer Counselors (Parent Partners) collaborate, provide support and help facilitate services for youth and their families receiving Family Behavioral Health Services. Working as a member of a team, the Peer Counselor (Parent Partner) helps a parent voice their own perspective and assure that other team members are able to understand their perspective and use that perspective in treatment planning. This position helps youth, parents and families achieve confidence in their abilities to team on a recovery journey and maintain hope for their success after formal behavioral health services have been completed. Emphasis is on achieving incredible outcomes with children, youth and families by actively partnering with them along with their natural and community services and supports to achieve long term safety and stability in our neighborhoods and communities. This position will be based out of the FBH Olympia office. This position requires scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of youth and families served. The services we offer will be provided in community-based settings and in family homes.
