Peer Assisted Learning Hub - Program Evening Lab Supervisor

About the role

Oversee the Peer Assisted Learning Hub Program Sunday–Thursday, 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. during the fall and spring academic semesters. This is a nine-month, part-time position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students and student workers.
• Communicate and enforce institution policies.
• Troubleshoot problems with equipment as needed.
• Gain knowledge of learning management software.
• Perform general office duties to include data entry, filing, answering the telephone, greeting students, and monitoring traffic.
• Check out office materials for faculty and students as needed.
• Keep records of facility utilization through check-in system.
• Close and secure the EDGE at night.
• Complete special projects as assigned by the EDGE Team.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• One year of related work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of computers.
• Previous customer service experience working with the public.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related areas.
• Two years prior work experience in an educational setting.
• Some experience in a supervisory role.
• Ability to tutor STEM-related subjects.
