Responsibilities

• Supervises the functions of department section.
• Trains and supervises section staff.
• Assures that existing and new laboratory procedures are approved, performed correctly and reported properly.
• Affects improvements, insures quality of apparatus, equipment and materials.
• Maintains efficient record systems and performs related duties in the best interests of laboratory services to patients.
• Supervises staff and holds them accountable for yielding reliable patient laboratory results.
• Responsible for payroll, scheduling, budgetary restraints and inventory control.
• Must qualify under CLIA as technical supervisor.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Life Sciences with 26 science credits with appropriate experience in a CLIA laboratory (Required)
• Master's Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 3 years experience in clinical laboratory (Required)
• General experience supervising in a clinical laboratory (Preferred)

Licenses

• American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification

Schedule

Full-time, evening shift, 40 hours per week.
